Cover Art ASAP, Do You Agree? Bug fixing can hold off.

Yes i agree fix bugs first but there must be interest both positive and negative for symbas to even be looking at coverart.

I would like to see cover art to be implemented but things in life are never free.
If the implementation ment that the PH became slower of or created stability issue playing media that plays without problems at moment then no it should not be considered.

Look at the Tvix m-4100 and m-5100 although this player was not supposed to be able to play H264 through development of the firmware it can but at what cost.
There were numerous issues that had to be resolved after HD was added where content that played before HD added had issued after.

I migrated from XBMC to MCE about 6 months or so ago and started using cover art with MCE and now I'm using a popcorn I do find myself really missing it. It would definitely be a nice feature to have, but I agree with everyone else who says that fixing bugs and fixing ffw/scan support with MKV files should be a priority, along with improving MP3 playback.

Maybe this is something to look at when you guys get round to looking at skin support?

I was surprised to find Japanese worked fine too Smile Sorry I had to take a photo off the tv, the browser can't display it right with all the NMT magic... any screen capture feature in PCH, Syabas? Smile

Do you have a .txt file on simple instructions on how to run llink yet? I would really like to try this out. I noticed you used widescreen random .jpg's for your cover art is that the way it has to be or can you use the actual DVD Box Art Covers?

Those are just sample files, comes with llink.

For now, everything has to be done manually, or use Mymovies on Windows, which I believe gets icons from imdb or amazon.

When I add some more code, I'll add a mode to llink to go get the icons from said sources, but you can always just save your own.

Mymovies? where do you get mymovies? I'm not trying to be a pain in the ass but every response I get from you is not straight foward can you give me step by step instructions on how to get llink working right on Vista Ultimate x64 I can open up the .conf file in notepad but where and what do I change in there how am I able to see this program on the PH? I guess I need a llink for Dummies guide because I'm not getting this at all??? Thanks.

I guess I expect people to type anything they do not know into google.

You would find this:
http://www.mymovies.dk/

Now, I'm not saying you should use it, or buy it, it was simply easier to be compatible with an existing program, rather than invent my own crap.

So now, it is probably the easiest way to set it up. You can also copy the mymovies.xml files manually, open Notepad and change them, and save whatever image you want as the icon. (Filename is also in the xml file).

Soon, llink should have minimal support to do this for you, but only from console mode.
