Ordering PCH A110 & UK Import Duty Question

I am looking to pre-order the PCH a-110 from their main page, only thing is I am unable to 1) find their email address to contact them directly to ask this question 2) find out how much import duty (if any) would be to buy from them directly.

It is not a question that they would be in a position to ask in any case.

It is the country that you live in and whether or not the government charge VAT or import duties.

I live in the UK and can tell you that the UK government do charge import duty on goods from outside of the UK. The duty charge on the A100 was £20.48 including a DHL admin charge of £1.

The A110 is slightly more expensive so I would expect a charge of circa £25.

I to live in the UK, so thank you for info on what I can expect to be levied onto the A-110. I wonder if it would work out cheaper if I were to order it and have it delivered to a collegue (friend) in the states and have him bring it over on his next visit or use office international internal mail

Seems alot of effort to save £20.

I have had mine delivered in the UK with NO extra customs cost, VAT, import duty, etc.

Guess I was lucky?

Don't get too happy. I used to order region 1 dvd's years back, when region 2 had no real choice. They used to come from DVD Express via FedEx. And yes I too got no charges, apart from about 2-3 weeks later, FedEx, sent me the bill.. This happened on every occasion I purchased DVD's from over the pond, the invoice always turned up for customs charges 2-3 weeks later

I would say, if you don't get a bill within 4 weeks, you probably have got away with it.
