MicroDVD sub problem
Hi,
this is not a new issue but all my .sub subtitles not working properly. Their timing is wrong. I have to save them as .srt to work well.
Same .sub file on the PC is working fine.
I am using the latest official firmware but it is a problem since I've got the player.

RE: MicroDVD sub problem
A general workaround, was not clear if you knew about this already:
- If the external subtitle timing is wrong you can adjust it by pressing the Subtitle button on the remote a couple of times until you get the option to adjust timing; then press right or left until it is synchronized to your liking.

RE: MicroDVD sub problem
That is not a workaround because there is not a constant shift but it increases by the time. Like the fps not match.

RE: MicroDVD sub problem
The asynchronous shift wasn't clearly stated in your original post, at least not to me.

Nor is, if your renaming workaround to .srt actually makes it work OK or not? It would make it a minor annoyance if so, but I guess it's more to it.

Are you are using the exact same sub (and/or renamed srt) on your PC with the exact same moviefile as on the NMT; if not, then one file could be 25 fps and the sub you are using synched to something else. Again, not clear from your first post.

One possible scenario is a networked synching problem. Do you get the same results from an internal drive or USB-attached storage on the NMT?

RE: MicroDVD sub problem
The original .sub file and the video file have same framerate and they are working fine on the PC. There is no matter where are located the files /HDD, SMB/.
I am not just renaming the .sub file to .srt. I am using Subtitle Workshop - Save As .srt.

RE: MicroDVD sub problem
If your .srt works fine then I guess there's something odd with the .sub interpretation on the NMT. But your sub's are not binary, right?
A quick browse/search in the subtitle subforum (no pun intended!) didn't reveal much, less than a theory of NTSC<->PAL speed up.

I have noticed same problem. .Sub (microdvd) subtitles are not correctly timed and it doesn't help to change delay. Converting format to .srt works, but I hate to see that I must convert all subtitles to .srt format in my library because of this bug.

Device is A-110 and Fw is latest:01-17-080818-15-POP-403 (NMT 00-17-080808-15-POP-403)

I also have the same problem. Subs are getting more out of sync when I continue watching film. This is very annoying. I have to change time by "-1" every 10-15 min...

off-topic Is there any way to add *.txt as a MicroDVD extension, so I don't have to change it all the time?

RE: MicroDVD sub problem
I am experiencing the same problem with all .sub files and must convert them to .srt
It seems like the A-110 doesn't properly read the framerate or something to correctly match it with the .sub timing (which works excellent on any PC and DVD player I tried).
That's VERY annoying and a very serious bug, any fix?
