Hi,
Do you think it could be fixed the following: - USB power off when PCH-100 is in "off" mode. That means that external disk, conected to USB would also shut down automaticly - "random shuffle" function added for mp3 playback in music player - faster jpeg switching Best regards to all! |

I haven't seen it before on 1080p L4.1
Could it be you have a bandwith problem? (NFS/SMB are slowest compared to HDD or HTTP, try them as test) Rgs H2Deetoo, |

What's the actual streaming rate currently with the current firmware?
http://www.networkedmediatank.com/wiki/i...methods.3F SMB: ~38Mbps NFS: ~33Mbps HTTP: ~42Mbps (same clip peaks at 47Mbps) USB HDD: ~ 42Mbps USB DVDROM (8x): ~42Mbps Internal HDD: ~42Mbps On the wiki, it seems HTTP can do 42Mbps, while on the firmware changelog, which seems to indicate HTTP can only do 20Mbps? |

HTTP is very fast for linear transfers, but very slow for random access! (badly muxed mkv may cause a lot of random access reads of the files... This is somewhat remedied with larger caches... and in most cases that solves the problem..) All the other methods are quick in random access but have slower linear transfers... Right now, internal HD and SMB provides the best over-all speeds! Regards // OwL |

^Thanks for the explanation OwL, that clears up a lot of confusion for me.
So does that mean that a simple remux with the latest version of mkvmerge will improve a 'mad muxed' mkv's performance over http? Media tank:A-100 & C-200 TV:Panasonic TH-50PY800MT (HDMI) Audio:Logitech Z-5500 (Coaxial) |

Hmmm, I don't agree. None of my large bandwith movies (blueray rip about 40Gb each) play fine over NFS/SMB. Only HTTP (TVersity) plays them without hickups. Regards H2Deetoo, |
