How to upgrade firmware?
It's been a while since I upgraded the firmware and my A100 is pretty unstable, so I was going to upgrade today.
However, when I follow the instructions from the README file, I get to the point where I'm supposed to browse the files. I guess the "File icon" equals the icon to the right of the four main icons? I select that and access my USB hard drive, but it won't show the files, only folders. Anybody knows what to do? (Sorry if there's another topic on this matter, but if you search for "firmware upgrade" you get over 9000 hits..) |

RE: How to upgrade firmware?
Have you extracted the files from the zip to the root of your USB drive? You should see the update.html file listed, maybe it's on the 2nd page so try scrolling down.

(Not even .avis etc.) Maybe I misunderstand what the File Icon is? I use the one to the right which looks like som kinda list with bullet points. (You got the moves, the music, some other multimedia icon then the File Icon, or?) |

Yep, that's the file icon. Not sure then, try maybe removing all the folders so that you just have the files on it.

RE: How to upgrade firmware?
It has created a folder in the ROOT by the sounds of it. Move the files from the folder and then look for usbupdate via 4th icon.
A400: SSD+SD Card(Apps), HDMI A300: USB(Apps), HDMI C200: USB(Apps), BD SH-B083L(SB01), HDMI CAT6 Wired Network: TV TX-P42G20, HP ProCurve 1400-8G, Netgear GS-608/605, Synology CS407 |

I messed up. I thought by double clicking on the folder inside Winrar and then extract, it would put the file directly on ROOT. It didn't. However, now it finds the files, but says something about not being able to perform the action when I try to open usbupdate.html. Will take a further look when I'm not at work. |
