Noob. Hold my hand
Please be gentle, total noob here. But willing to learn !

So far I have...

Bought A-110
Installed the 1TB (1000 GB) Western Digital WD10EADS Green
Connected A-110 to AV Amp via Component and Optical, and to Router
Updated Firmware via Web
Setup Network with Vista HP laptop
Copied Music and Video from Laptop to PCH-A110 (now mapped as Z: on laptop)

I now have;
PCH-A110 (computer)
PCH-A110 (MAC Address) (Media Devices)
PCH-A110 (myiHome Lite) (Other Devices)
PCH-A110: UPnP AV Server (Media Devices)

Q1. I use (computer) to move files to and from A-110, but what are the others for?

I have read some people are creating their own index files.
Q2. how do I access the current index file so I can create my own theme/buttons ?

I wish to install moviejukebox_v1.0.12 on my A-110. I have read some info on this. I download it, extracted files, put all the files in a folder Jukebox. I have put all files in a new folder called Jukebox on A-110 along with the folders that are already there;
Download
Music
Photo
Video

Q3. Should have I put it there? & what file do I need to amend so it finds my files on Internal HDD? & how I do get it search/install on the A-110? Almost Finished, just need to know where to put JukeBox Folder

Also, I've been looking at the Web Services stuff, when I attempt to watch any of the vids from You Tube or one of the Asian vids, it loads/buffers then stops after a second or two, restarts buffering and then plays for a second or two, and so on.

Q4. Is this a new feature that is buggy, or is there a way to let it Download the whole vid first before playing? (I'm on 20Mb BB)

If you can answer my questions with the most detailed answers possible I'd really appriecate it, as I've read some threads and the answers have baffled me completely (especially the YAMJ tutorial)

Sorry if I have put this in the wrong forum

RE: Noob. Hold my hand
Wow! You're somewhat enthusiastic. Nowt wrong with that though.

So far you've done pretty well, though you've not quite caught onto what YAMJ does. I'm going to skip to q3 because I don't have my PCH networked yet, so can't help you there.

The YAMJ stuff you downloaded is supposed to go on your PC, it's a Java application that produces a set of html pages and stuff which you can choose to put onto your PCH, or anywhere on your network accessible to the PCH (depending on your preference).

You download the YAMJ software from http://code.google.com/p/moviejukebox/downloads/list, the Java Runtime Environment from http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp and mediainfo from http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles...e_id=90612.

To install this stuff, first create a C:\YAMJ folder on your pc and unzip the moviejukebox software into it. Then create a MediaInfo folder inside the YAMJ folder and install the MediaInfo software into that folder. Finally run the JAVA installer, once it's run make sure your PC's PATH variable contains the path to the bin folder that you'll find somewhere like C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6_10\bin.

Before we can run YAMJ we'll need somewhere for it to put its output to. For that I create yet another folder c:\Jukebox.

Then, provided you've put your video files onto your PCH into its video directory, you'll run CMD.EXE, CD to c:\YAMJ and then do the following command:

moviejukebox z:\video -o c:\jukebox

Assuming it all works you can go to the c:\jukebox folder on your pc and see how it looks before copying the contents of that folder onto your PCH (or elsewhere as I said before).

RE: Noob. Hold my hand
stephen50g,

A-110 to Router (Wired)
Router to Laptop (Wireless 802.11g) (will be changing to 802.11n once Belkin release a better firmware)
earlybath,

I got it going thanks very much, it's "updating data" of the files in the folder I asked it to look at. Nothing in Jukebox folder yet. Do I move the outputted file(s) into the "(computer)" mentioned in my 1st post ?
earlybath,

I now have the files in the Jukebox folder, mostly they look great. The odd set have the wrong image. But I can get the correct images and resize them to match the wrong images.

Q5. Will JAMU work with MP3's as well, or is there another App to do this like JAMU?

Update: I moved the Folder to and Index file to a new folder to the same place as the other folders. Then using the on-screen menu on the A-110 I select the icon that looks like a document. here I find the index file, I select that and the menu appears. I then select an image. This opens the info page with a play graphic. I click enter on remote. Popcorn is buffering and warning symbol appears. Can't play file.

Q6. Do I need to edit each file so it can see the files on the Internal HDD ?
