What speakers can you connect to A-110?
Hi there
Since DTS doesn't work unless you convert the file to AC3, it got me thinking: Can you connect a (cheap computer) 5.1 speaker system to the A-110? Or do only expensive systems work? |

RE: What speakers can you connect to A-110?
You need something that decodes DTS, so nothing too cheap.
But relax firmware will decode soon, and then everyone will stop worrying about. |

There is the Logitech Z-5500 which isnt to expensive and works very well. The A-110 will decode DTS in an upcoming firmware - but if you are just playing through your TV you still may want to consider something like the Z-5500 to get much better sound with full surround mode.

At approximately twice the price of the popcornhour I would disagree that it's cheap.
Nice system mind, believe it's THX certified. Still, I am told it will be in the next A110 firmware, not 100% but I hope so, they are obviously getting a lot of bad press and 50% of the questions on the forum are related to the DTS decoding. They definitely have received the code from sigma to do it. |

I paid twice the cost of the A-100 for the Logitech Z-5500, but I am really happy with it.
